The US will impose a 15% tariff on polysilicon and related products after 120 days, while setting minimum prices to protect domestic producers. The measures target China’s dominance in materials used for solar panels and semiconductors. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said the policy aims to stop Chinese companies from dumping products at low prices and encourage more manufacturing in the US.
