Chinese internet and gaming giant NetEase is shutting down its public cloud computing service due to intense competition in the crowded market.

The Hangzhou-based company informed corporate clients on Friday that the public cloud service would be taken offline on April 7 as part of a business strategy adjustment. Clients with unused credits in their accounts can request a refund.
