League of Legends World Championship Returns to China

The 2025 League of Legends World Championship, esports’ top single-title event, comes to China. Hosted by Riot Games (Tencent subsidiary), it starts in Beijing on October 14, moves to Shanghai for quarter-finals and semi-finals (October 28-November 2), with the final in Chengdu on November 9. Seventeen teams compete for prizes and the Summoner’s Cup. Shanghai’s Edward Gaming was the last Chinese winner (2021). The event highlights China’s growing esports sector, a big business with globally impactful clubs.
2025 年英雄联盟全球总决赛这一电竞领域顶级单项赛事将来到中国。该赛事由腾讯子公司、美国游戏开发商及赛事组织者拳头游戏主办，于 10 月 14 日在北京开赛，10 月 28 日至 11 月 2 日移师上海进行四分之一决赛和半决赛，总决赛将于 11 月 9 日在成都举行。17 支队伍将角逐奖金与召唤师杯。上海的爱德华电子竞技俱乐部是上一支夺冠的中国队伍（2021 年）。此次赛事彰显了中国电竞产业的蓬勃发展，该产业已成为大生意，国内由年轻富豪资助的俱乐部在全球赛场颇具影响力。
