Retailers such as Bosideng say strong demand for mid- to high-end winter wear is driving a sales boom that could last another three months as temperatures drop. Young consumers are still willing to pay higher prices for premium brands, helping winter clothing makers benefit from cold weather and a later Lunar New Year in February 2026, which extends the peak sales season. Analysts note that China’s down jacket market, valued at about 200 billion yuan in 2023, is expected to grow steadily through 2028. This seasonal strength may help cushion weak demand in other sectors.
