Alibaba’s DingTalk Launches Agent OS to Accelerate AI Agent Strategy

Alibaba’s workplace app DingTalk has unveiled Agent OS, a dedicated operating system for AI agents, as it steps up competition in China’s fast-growing AI sector. Announced at an event in Hangzhou, Agent OS will become the core platform on which all DingTalk AI agents are built and operated. The company also introduced DingTalk Real, a new hardware suite designed as a physical terminal for running AI agents in enterprise environments.According to DingTalk CEO Chen Hang, the move allows AI agents to connect directly with the physical world while operating securely and reliably. The launch signals DingTalk’s ambition to evolve from a software-only platform into a full-stack AI agent provider combining hardware and software. The push comes amid intensifying rivalry with Tencent and ByteDance, which are also expanding investments in AI agents.
