Tesla Model 3 Hits 3M Sales at 10-Year Mark

Tesla marked the 10th anniversary of its Model 3, with global sales surpassing 3 million units. As its first mass-market EV, the Model 3 gained popularity through competitive pricing and strong performance. In China, it sold over 200,000 units in 2025, rising 13% year-on-year. However, exports from Shanghai dropped sharply. Despite high user satisfaction, the Model 3 now faces rising competition, especially from Xiaomi’s SU7, which offers a lower starting price. Other EV makers like Nio and Xpeng are also intensifying competition in China’s fast-growing electric vehicle market.
