Meitu Founder Turns HK Skyscraper into Crypto/AI Start-Up Hub

Meitu co-founder Mike Cai Wensheng has purchased a 53,000 sq ft commercial building in Hong Kong for US$84 million. He plans to transform the 25-floor tower—soon to be renamed CAI Tower—into a hub for crypto and AI start-ups. Cai described it as a personal investment and entrepreneurial initiative, aiming to foster collaboration with Hong Kong’s tech scene. Several floors will be dedicated to free co-working spaces for selected entrepreneurs, creating an incubation zone to support emerging tech ventures.
