Google Eyes Mid-2025 Deal to Bring Gemini AI to iPhones
Google CEO Sundar Pichai revealed hopes to finalize a deal with Apple by mid-2025 to integrate Gemini AI into iPhones via Apple Intelligence. The disclosure came during an antitrust trial where the U.S. Department of Justice aims to curb Google’s dominance in search and mobile partnerships. While no agreement exists yet, Pichai confirmed prior talks with Apple CEO Tim Cook. Google may also add ads to its Gemini app. Prosecutors argue such deals help Google maintain its search monopoly, supported by billions paid to partners like Apple and Samsung.
