Hong Kong Police Bust $3M Drug Syndicate

Five suspects, including a suspected ringleader, were arrested in Hong Kong for trafficking over 100kg of cannabis and 3kg of cocaine, worth HK$23.5 million (US$3 million). Police said the syndicate operated in Yuen Long and Sha Tin, using packages falsely labeled as industrial vacuum cleaners to smuggle 150 packs of cannabis buds from Canada. The drugs were intercepted during a Friday raid in Kam Tin, where two men—Yeung (48) and Lau (55)—were caught unpacking the shipment. Most of the group is expected to be charged on Monday.
