Alibaba Cloud Expands in South Korea with Second Data Centre for AI Demand

Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Group’s cloud and AI arm, will launch its second data centre in South Korea by late June to meet surging generative AI demand. The move underscores its global expansion, with clients like Naver-backed Snow and AI firm Univa already leveraging its services. Yoon Yong-joon, country manager, noted the expansion aligns with rapid AI technological progress and rising cross-industry digital needs, marking a key milestone in the company’s international infrastructure build-out.
