Intel Launches First 18A Chip to Lead Next-Gen Computing
英特尔推出首款18A芯片,引领新一代计算时代
Intel has introduced Panther Lake, the first processor built with its cutting-edge 18A semiconductor process, marking a major milestone under CEO Lip-Bu Tan’s leadership. Produced at the new Fab 52 plant in Arizona, the chip will ship later this year as part of the Intel Core Ultra lineup. Intel also previewed its first 18A-based server processor, Xeon 6+ (Clearwater Forest), set for release in 2026. Tan emphasized that 18A represents a new era of U.S.-based chip innovation, strengthening Intel’s domestic manufacturing and technological leadership. The announcement follows the U.S. government’s recent 10% equity stake in Intel to boost national semiconductor independence.
