China became the standout driver of Apple’s latest earnings, delivering what the company called its best iPhone quarter in history. In the first quarter of fiscal 2026, which ended on December 27, revenue from Apple’s Greater China region surged 38% year on year. The region includes mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This growth far outpaced Apple’s overall quarterly revenue increase of 16%, highlighting China’s renewed importance to the US tech giant. The strong performance marked Apple’s best showing in China since late 2021, underscoring robust consumer demand in the world’s largest smartphone market despite broader global uncertainties.
