Chinese Robot AI Overtakes Nvidia on Global Ranking

Chinese start-up Spirit AI has become the first Chinese company to top the RoboArena global leaderboard, a benchmark for robot intelligence. Its Spirit v1.6 model scored 1,924 points, surpassing Nvidia’s Cosmos3-Nano-Policy at 1,881. RoboArena measures how well AI systems guide robots in real-world tasks. The achievement highlights growing competition between China and the US in “physical AI” — technology that enables robots, vehicles, and machines to understand and act in the physical world. China is also leading in world-model research, with Manifold AI’s WorldScape-0.2 ranking first on the WorldArena benchmark. The race for embodied AI is becoming a major new front in global tech rivalry.
