CXMT IPO Attracts Huge Investor Demand

Chinese memory chipmaker ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) saw overwhelming interest in its Shanghai IPO. More than 9.4 million investor accounts applied for shares, with retail demand reaching 212 times the number of shares initially offered online. Investors requested nearly 817 billion shares. The strong response reflects confidence in China’s leading DRAM maker and its push to reduce reliance on foreign chip suppliers. Due to the high demand, about 502 million shares were moved from institutional investors to retail buyers, but the final allocation rate was still only 0.47%.
中国存储芯片企业长鑫存储（CXMT）在上海首次公开募股（IPO）中受到投资者热烈追捧。超过940万个投资者账户申请认购股票，散户认购需求达到网上初始发行数量的212倍。投资者共申请认购约8170亿股。这反映出市场看好中国领先的DRAM制造商，以及中国推动芯片国产化、减少对外国供应商依赖的前景。由于需求旺盛，约5.02亿股从机构投资者配售调整给散户，但最终中签率仍只有0.47%。
