China’s NEV Sales Hit Record 60.6% Share of New Car Market in August
中汽协：8月新能源车销量占比60.6%创新高，出口连续三月破百万
New energy vehicles accounted for a record 60.6 percent of new car sales in China in August, the second straight month above 60 percent, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said on September 10. NEV output and sales reached 1.653 million and 1.643 million units respectively, up nearly 20 percent year on year. Auto exports remained strong, with monthly shipments topping 1 million vehicles for a third consecutive month, 1.01 million in August, up 65.3 percent, including 526,000 NEVs, more than double a year earlier. In the first eight months, NEV sales totaled 10.65 million units, cementing China’s position as the world’s largest EV market.
中国汽车工业协会9月10日发布的数据显示，8月新能源汽车新车销量占比达60.6%，创历史新高，连续两个月超过六成。8月新能源汽车产销分别完成165.3万辆和164.3万辆，同比增长均近两成。汽车出口保持高速增长，月度出口量连续三个月超过100万辆——8月出口101万辆，同比增长65.3%，其中新能源汽车出口52.6万辆，同比增长1.3倍。1至8月，新能源汽车累计销量达1065万辆，进一步巩固了中国作为全球最大电动汽车市场的地位。
