BYD’s Overseas NEV Sales Continue to Break Records in April

BYD sold 380,089 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in April, up 21.34% year-on-year. Overseas sales hit 79,086 units, marking the fifth straight monthly record, a 92.84% increase from a year ago. Battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales rose to 195,740 units, while plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sales dipped slightly. Commercial NEV sales surged over 524% year-on-year. From January to April, BYD sold 1.38 million NEVs, with overseas sales up 105.29%. Its battery and energy storage output reached 26.478 GWh in April alone, more than double the year-ago figure, reflecting BYD’s growing dominance in both vehicles and energy tech.
