Hui Ruoqi Backs Youth to Energize China’s Volleyball Future
惠若琪力挺新生代为中国女排注入活力
Olympic champion Hui Ruoqi voiced strong support for China’s revamped women’s volleyball team, saying the influx of young talent will “inject vitality” into the squad. Speaking at the launch of the FIVB Nations League Hong Kong leg, set for June 18–22 at the new Kai Tak Arena, Hui emphasized the promise of the next generation. With only a few veterans remaining, the team now includes standout players from recent U17 and U18 championship wins. Hui, who joined the national team at 17, empathized with the nerves and excitement these newcomers face.
奥运冠军惠若琪对中国女排的新阵容表示坚定支持，称年轻球员的加入将为球队“注入活力”。她在香港站世界女排联赛发布会上表示，这项赛事将于6月18日至22日在启德体育馆举行，这是比赛首次不在红磡体育馆举办。中国女排为备战2028年洛杉矶奥运已大幅换血，目前阵容中仅保留了部分老将，新队员多来自去年U17世锦赛和U18亚锦赛的冠军阵容。惠若琪表示，自己17岁入选国家队，很理解这些新人的紧张与兴奋。
