China’s education authority issues urgent notice to promote student vaccination
教育部紧急通知！事关学生疫苗接种
China’s Ministry of Education (MOE) has urged local authorities across the country to promote student vaccination amid the recent domestic COVID-19 outbreaks that have spread to at least 18 provinces and cities in China.
The MOE issued the notice on Tuesday for the epidemic prevention and control work in the education system during the summer holiday. The rules require education departments around the country to immediately activate the emergency response mechanism to COVID-19.
为深入贯彻党中央、国务院决策，7月30日教育部印发紧急通知部署认真做好当前教育系统疫情防控工作。
通知强调，各地教育部门要立即启动疫情应急机制。要激活教育系统疫情应急指挥体系，切实履行防控责任，严格落实《关于做好2021年暑假期间教育系统疫情防控工作的通知》，加强部署调度、联防联控和督导检查，确保疫情防控领导体制、应急机制、指挥体系高效运行。
通知要求，各地教育部门要稳妥推进新冠病毒疫苗接种。要高度重视，坚持属地原则，配合当地卫生健康、疾控部门指导学校多渠道多形式做好沟通告知、宣传教育，提高家长对预防接种的认知和理解。在监护人和学生知情、同意、自愿的前提下，按照当地疫苗接种工作要求，分步骤、稳妥有序配合做好18岁以下符合条件学生疫苗接种工作。
