Tesla passes data security requirements in China amid Elon Musk visit

Tesla’s two locally produced electric vehicle (EV) models have passed a safety requirement test in China, paving the way for the lifting of access restrictions in some areas and the launch of FSD (Full Self-Driving), though the test is voluntary, as the company’s CEO Elon Musk visits the country.
特斯拉的两款本地生产的电动汽车车型已通过中国的数据安全要求测试，为取消某些地区的准入限制和推出FSD（全自动驾驶）铺平了道路，该测试是自愿的，因为该公司首席执行官埃隆·马斯克访问了中国。
Seventy-six models from six car companies — Tesla, BYD, Li Auto, Lotus, Hozon New Energy Automobile, and Nio — meet the four compliance requirements for automotive data security in China, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said in a statement last night.
中国汽车工业协会（CAAM）昨晚在一份声明中表示，来自特斯拉、比亚迪、理想汽车、路特斯、合众新能源汽车和蔚来汽车六家车企的76款车型符合中国汽车数据安全的四项合规要求。
The test is voluntary and is intended to encourage leading automakers to help promote an environment in which society as a whole works together to safeguard automotive data security and promote the development of the automotive industry, according to the statement.
