Amap Launches English Ride-Hailing for Foreign Tourists in China

Alibaba’s Amap app now supports ride-hailing in English, helping foreign visitors travel across 360+ Chinese cities. This move aligns with China’s visa-free travel policy. Available on the app’s English homepage, the feature accepts mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau phone numbers. Users can pay with international cards via Alipay or WeChat Pay, China’s top digital wallets. The update follows the February launch of Amap’s English version, aiming to make local transport more accessible to overseas travelers.
