China Tests New Internet Satellites in Space

China launched new test satellites from Xichang Satellite Launch Center on Friday using a Long March-2D rocket. The satellites entered their planned orbits successfully. They will test new internet technologies, including direct satellite-to-phone broadband connections and better space-ground network integration. The mission marked the 639th flight of the Long March rocket series.
