OnePlus to Exit Europe and North America, Focuses on China and Select Overseas Markets

OnePlus has confirmed that it will stop launching new products in Europe and North America. In a statement to TechCrunch, the company said the decision followed a careful business assessment, while assuring existing customers that after-sales service and software updates will continue without interruption.
一加已确认，未来将不再在欧洲和北美推出新产品。公司向TechCrunch表示，这一决定是在经过慎重评估后作出的，但现有用户的售后服务和软件更新将继续得到保障，不会受到影响。
The announcement follows a Bloomberg report that OnePlus is winding down its operations in the U.S. and Europe as part of a broader restructuring by its parent company, Oppo. The report also said OnePlus plans to scale back its business in India, one of its largest markets outside China.

Founded in 2013 by Pete Lau and Carl Pei, OnePlus built its reputation by offering high-performance Android smartphones at competitive prices for technology enthusiasts. The brand later expanded its product lineup, including the more affordable Nord series, helping it reach a broader global audience. Carl Pei departed the company in 2020 to establish Nothing, while OnePlus gradually moved into higher-priced flagship devices.

The company’s strategic shift comes during a challenging period for the global smartphone industry. Market research firms IDC and Counterpoint expect worldwide smartphone shipments to fall by more than 13% in 2026 due to ongoing memory chip shortages, often referred to as “RAMageddon,” along with weaker consumer demand as electronics prices remain high.
