Trump Slashes Foreign Aid, Nearly 10,000 Organizations Lose Funding

US President Donald Trump is pushing forward with his plan to dismantle foreign aid, permanently cutting off funding for nearly 10,000 organizations receiving American aid.

According to court filings, 5,800 organizations funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) have been notified to “cease all activities”, while an additional 4,100 State Department-funded programs will also be eliminated.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio reviewed the grants on an individual basis, deciding to keep only 3,200 projects worth over $50 billion.
