7-Eleven Warns Stores Over Anime Merchandise Resale
7-Eleven
Japan’s largest convenience store operator has warned 7-Eleven franchisees against the unauthorized resale of popular anime and game merchandise. Some owners and employees reportedly reserved products before release or bought large quantities to resell online. The company said such actions damage customer trust and raise concerns about store governance. Products affected include Pokémon cards and One Piece lottery prizes, with some items allegedly being hidden as soon as they arrived.
