The announcement, made on September 25, drove Microsoft shares up nearly 4 percent to 516 dollars. The company said the unified platform lets users chat with AI bots, write code and run office workflows in one place. The move intensifies the race with Google and OpenAI to become the default workplace AI assistant, as businesses look for simpler ways to deploy artificial intelligence at scale.
