Chinese-listed firms hit record overseas revenue as Foxconn, BYD lead exporters

Chinese-listed companies have reached a record in global operations, with overseas revenue of A-share firms reaching 12.4 trillion yuan (US$1.8 trillion) last year, about 17% of total income. Electronics and auto exporters such as Foxconn Industrial Internet, BYD and Luxshare Precision Industry led growth. State oil giant PetroChina topped the list overall, reporting foreign crude output of 168 million barrels, up 1.8%. BYD expanded EV sales in Thailand, Singapore, Brazil and saw strong European growth, while also supplying Apple components. Foxconn’s unit derived over one-third of revenue from Mexico. In Q1 2026, Foxconn Industrial Internet rose 57%, while BYD fell 12%, with no geographic breakdown disclosed.
